Salesforce Consultant
for Small Business & Nonprofits

Blue Engine Solutions · Washington, DC

Full-Time Remote (DC/Bethesda preferred) 3+ Years Salesforce Experience

A boutique firm where your work actually matters

Blue Engine Solutions is a small, tight-knit Salesforce consultancy. Because of our size, you'll have real autonomy and exposure to every part of a project — from discovery and scoping to configuration, testing, and client training.

Our clients span nonprofits, growing businesses, healthcare, real estate, financial services, and more. We move fast, communicate directly, and take genuine pride in building systems that actually work.

Preference will be given to candidates who can come into our Bethesda, MD office once per month, but we're remote-friendly for day-to-day work.

Own your projects from kickoff to go-live

For most projects, you'll be the primary point of contact for the client. You'll lead requirements gathering, design the solution, and build it out — leaning on teammates when useful, but owning the outcome. On larger engagements, you'll collaborate with a small team of 1–2 others.

This is not a "hand off the requirements to a dev team" kind of role. You'll be the one asking smart questions, designing the architecture, and getting it done.

What you'll spend your time on

  • Serve as the main client contact — lead calls, gather requirements, and set expectations
  • Customize and configure Salesforce to solve real client problems (flows, objects, layouts, reports, integrations)
  • Design clean, scalable solutions — not just quick fixes
  • Provide training and documentation so clients can own what you build
  • Collaborate with teammates on larger, more complex engagements
  • Stay current on the Salesforce platform and bring fresh ideas to the team

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce implementation and customization experience
  • Excellent communication skills — you can translate technical solutions into plain language
  • Knowledge of Salesforce integrations with other systems (APIs, middleware, native connectors)
  • A learner's mindset — you're comfortable figuring things out and asking for help when needed
  • Comfortable owning a client relationship independently from day one

What it's actually like to work here

No two projects are exactly the same. It keeps the work genuinely interesting and constantly pushes me to learn new tools and new ways of approaching problems.

The flexibility has been instrumental — I can drop my kids off and pick them up from school every day without sacrificing the quality of my work.

There's real trust placed in us to think through problems and take ownership of our work — not just execute tasks. That's rare.
